here's a few odds & ends, none of which are really enough for a post on their own.
i just learned from unwrapped that when 3 musketeers first came out, it had 3 small bars in chocolate, vanilla & strawberry. doesn't that sound awesome?
i can't find an ice cream scoop like i want, like my mom has. it's got a thing on the handle to push that pushes up a flat-ish part that's actually cut out of the bottom of the scoop (so it's flush w/ the bottom of the scooper) which pushes the ice cream out. basically, it's a lever inside the handle/scoop. so, it's not like either of the ones below. does any of this make sense to anyone? and can you help me??
i love vanilla chai tea but there's no place to pick one up on my way to work. when i went to the super-target with my mama last week, i found that they have several varieties of concentrated liquid chai teas! i got the one below & am totally in love. mix one part concentrate with one part milk & i don't even have to leave the house! plus this 32 oz. box is less than i'd pay for ONE drink at starbucks.
who saw the end of the next food network star coming?!? i know i didn't! i was bummed because amy was my favorite but then she came back (and i went & voted for her). i'm sure he's probably a perfectly nice person but i actually thought there was a little something suspect about jag from the beginning. he didn't have to lie about either of the things he lied about, so why did he? i'm not usually a big reality t.v. person but this show sucked me right in!
kentucky fried chicken has the best coleslaw in the world. seriously.
zucchini is magical. the first time i made zucchini bread, i looked at the recipe & thought something must be missing. surely there's not enough liquid! but then that darn zucchini surprises me every time. it happened again tonight, after far too many years of not making zucchini bread. (below: nanner on the left, zucchini on the right. still warm from the oven)
and finally, this has absolutely nothing to do with food but... how cute is my cat?
oh, wait! i can make this about food! my cat (sabina) loves potato chips. barbeque are her favorite. she will actually try to attack my hand as it comes out of a bag in order to grab a chip. she's 13 years old this month (but still acts like a kitten). happy birthday, bean!
yeah, i call her "bean" (or beaner, beanie baby, baby kitty, pooper or stinker). i mean, who calls their pets by their actual name?
Hi! I found your site via a comment on Von Krankipantzen, and when I read the 3 Musketeers info, I had to ask if you've tried their mint version. It's AWESOME - but the only place I've been able to find it is at PetSmart....
[Also, my aunt and uncle had a Siamese cat whose nickname was "Bean" too. It was short for Wallabean, which was a corruption of Wallaby, which he was called because he looked like a small baby wallaby when they got him. :)]

thanks for commenting! i am NOT a fan of mint, but my brother is so if i find something minty, i get it for him. i'll have to pick one up if i see one. thanks!
